Kim bogies on
18th holes and misses by one stroke

Carson
Cacamisse's single season with The Eagles will continue at least one
more week as the senior shoots five over par 77 to advance ou
t of the Northern Individual Regionals at River Ridge to compete in the CIF
Finals next week at La Purisima GC in Lompoc.
Carson was well within the
cut line with only one hole to go, when he his approach to the green on
the par five 13th hole found the water. His 77 was right at the
cut line for the 100 player field. Senior Alex Kim's outstanding
four-year career at Oak Park came to an end after carding a six-over par
78 to miss by one stroke. And that one stroke came on his 18th
hole, the 186 yard, par three 7th. After hitting what appeared to
be a perfect tee shot, only a few feet in front of the hole, the ball
took a hard bounce and ended up 40 behind the pin. Kim ended up
three putting.

With The Best at Northern Regional and Narrowly Miss Moving on to CIF
Finals
Oak Park followed
up their best performance of the year at the TVL Finals with an
impressive 384 at Soule Park to finish fourth in the strong 19 team
field. T The top three teams (Marmonte League Champ, Westlake, TVL
Champ Oaks Christian and Pacific League Champ Arcadia) advanced to the
CIF finals. The Eagles at 384 were only eight strokes back of
Arcadia and and a chance to move on to CIF Finals for the third time in
school history. The Eagles were led by sophomore Kyle Dollison who
shot a career best even par 72. Senior Alex Kim, playing in his
last team event for the Eagles (he along with fellow Senior Carson
Caccamise will play in CIF individual regionals next week at River
Ridge) posted a three over par 75 followed by Junior Josh Shapiro (75)
and sophomore Brandon Resnick (79).

Park Advances to CIF for 14th Consecutive Year Under Coach Beck
The Oaks
Christian Lions were not to be denied saving their best for last to
record one of the best rounds in TVL history. Led by
Sophomore Peter Griffith who carded a six under par 66 and freshman Paul
Bendetti one stroke back at 66, the Lions shot a team best of five under
par 355. Griffith, who was named TVL Player of the Year, was one
stroke off the league record of 7-under par recorded by former Oak Park
Eagle Brandon Beck, who was part of the 2004 NCAA Champion Cal Golden
Bears. The Eagles wo carded a year's best 379, were led by Senior Alex Kim with a two under par
70, despite a quadruple bogey on the par 4 16th hole. Carson Caccamise's one over par 73 catapulted the Senior into seventh
place and a berth on the TVL First Team All League squad.
Kim and Caccmise also advance to CIF Individuals in two weeks.
By virtue of its second place finish, the Eagles advance with League
Champ Oaks Christian to CIF Regional play next week at Soule Park in
Ojai. the Eagles have never missed the playoffs in Coach Beck's 14 years
at Oak Park. Sophomores Kyle Dollison and Matt Devine were
named to TVL Second Team.

Eagles Fall to
Second With One Match Remaining in Tri Valley League Competition
The Oaks
Christian Lions all but assured themselves of a successful defense of
their Tri Valley League Title by shooting an impressive 377 at Rustic
Canyon to gain sole possession of first place with one match to go.
The Eagles finished second 32 strokes back posting a team score of 409.
To win the league title outright, Oak Park must beat Oaks Christian by
60 strokes in the TVL Final Match at Olivas Links. In the
individual race, Peter Griffith of Oaks Christian has a firm lead at 381
over the first five matches, 14 strokes ahead of team mate Paul Bendetti
at 395. Oak Park's Alex Kim (397) is in a tie for fourth only two
strokes back of Bendetti. Matt Devine and Carson
Caccamise at 404 are tied for 8th followed by Kyle Dollison at
407. The top seven players advance to CIF play.

Share of TVL Lead with Win at Lost Canyons
The Oak Park
Eagles rebounded from its poor showing at Montecito to post a 399 and
record its second league win of the year, besting Oaks Christian by 6
strokes at the difficult Lost Canyons Sky Course in Simi Valley. The Eagles
were led by Kyle Dollison with a five over par 77, Alex Kim (78) and
Matt Devine (79). Senior Carson Caccamise who got off to a bad
start posting a 10 over on his first nine, steadied the ship shooting a
one under par 35 on the back. Myles Delamora of Villanova
Prep led all scorers with an impressive one over par 73.

Travelling to
Montecito County Club in Santa Barbara with a chance to take sole
possession of first place, the Eagles came home in second place all by
themselves after carding a 417, 24 strokes behind Oaks Christian who
carded a team score of 393. Alex Kim posted the lowest round of
the day for the Eagles with a 10 over par 81 on the 6,032 yard par 71
tract.

Eagles in Tie for
First After First Two Matches
The Oak Park
Eagles combated heavy winds at River Ridge in Oxnard to finish atop the
team leaderboard posting a 407 to win the second TVL match of the
year. Defending TVL Champions Oaks Christian finished second 16
strokes behind at 423 followed by Grace Brethren, St. Bonnie, Villanova
Prep and Carpinteria. Oak Park senior Alex Kim led all scorers
with a five over par 77, the only golfer to break 80 in the the
difficult conditions.

Eagles Finish
Second in TVL Opener at Soule Park
The Oak Park
Eagles led by sophomores Matt Devine's three over par 75 and Kyle
Dollison's 77, finished a distant second in the TVL opener carding
a team total 397, 29 strokes behind Oak's Christian which shot a
blistering 368 at Soule Park in Ojai. Brandon Resnick carded
an 81, with Matt Chen, Alex Kim and Carson Caccamise all posting 82.
Oaks Christian freshman Dominic Rector led all scorers with a three
under par 69.
Oak Park Survives
Heavy Winds at Rustic Canyon to Beat Valencia 203-216
In a match
shortened to nine holes due to heavy winds, the Oak Park Eagles bested
the Valencia Vikings 203-216 at Rustic Canyon GC in Moorpark. The
Eagles received stellar play from sophomore Matt Chen (38), senior Alex
Kim (39), sophomore Kyle Dollison (40) and Carson Caccamise (40).
The Vikings Ronnie Bedrosian was medalist with a one over par 37.
Although
the wind was blowing hard all afternoon, a decision was made to shorten
the match to 9 holes once wind gusts, estimated at between 40 - 50 mph
started to affect the balls on the green.
Illustrating the
strength of the wind, Matt Devine (pictured) was pin high on his
drive on the 466 yard par 4 16th hole.

Eagles shoot season
high 448 in loss
Oak Park failed
to post a score in the 70s for the first time in seven 18-hole matches
this year, as the Eagles lost to a Hart High School 426-428 at
Rustic Canyon Golf Course in Moorpark. With the loss, the Eagles
drop to 3-4 for the season. Hart's Michael Lotta medaled posting a
score of six-over par 78.

After an
impressive showing at the Oak Park Invitational, two four-man squads
traveled to the Coyote Invitational at Calabasas Country Club to finish
disappointingly in 9th and 10th among the 19 teams entered.
Sophomore Kyle Dollison was the lone bright spot for the Eagles carding
a career best two-over par 74 to finish in a tie for fourth in the
80 person field. Sophomore Matt Chen's 79 was good enough for T15.
No other Oak Park golfer finished in the top 25. Moorpark's Thomas
Lim, who has signed to play with the University of Oregon, was the only
player to break par posting a five under 67 to claim individual honors.
Santa Barbara's Gold team claimed the team title.
FENG'S 77 LEADS
OAKS PARK TO WIN OVER FILLMORE AT ELKINS RANCH

Feng's five over par 77 led the Oak Park Eagles to its third consecutive
win, besting Fillmore 419 to 502 at Elkins Ranch in Fillmore.
